Biography
I was deep into dentistry when the shift began, though in hindsight, the seeds were planted long before. I’d been carrying a camera since the 10th grade, treating photography as my way of seeing the world. Not a job, not a plan. Just something I did, casually, constantly.
Then came New York.
It was a fall trip after my final year in dental school, meant to be a break before stepping into clinics and consultations for real. But instead, it cracked something open. The pace, the art, the friction of cultures and ideas, it hit differently. Suddenly, I wasn’t sure I belonged in the quiet certainty of a medical life anymore.
I didn’t flip a switch. I followed a spark.
I started tracing the line between instinct and intent, connecting the way I composed a frame with how brands tell stories. What began as a subtle shift in perspective slowly rewired everything. From clinical logic to creative reasoning. From procedures to possibilities. Eventually, I found my way into communication design and advertising. And the further I pushed into this world, the more I found my people. Jumpstart WA and Award School helped me make sense of the beautiful chaos, but more than that, they introduced me to some of the sharpest, most generous minds I’ve met.
Over time, I’ve learned that purposeful design, driven by care and creativity outlast everything else. It cuts through the noise, leaves a mark, and echoes long after. Because when you create with care, you’re not just shaping stories, you’re shaping yourself. And that quiet care has always been at the heart of everything I do.
